“Helping others in their time of need is the best gift to humanity and gives meaning to life”   …….Anonymous

As we are aware about the Corona Virus pandemic and the crisis the entire world is facing which has affected thousands of people in many ways. Economies have come to a near standstill due to the lockdown situations affecting all. The most impacted are the ones who live on daily wages. One such group of people are the ones who work as a ‘ Guide’ in the various Tiger Reserves across the country. Major contributions in the conservation of forests are done from the local people. Forest department has trained the locals to become Guides which has helped them earn their livelihood. This not being a salaried job , the income is based on the number of safari taken by each guide. Which indicates when the jungle is closed there is no income for them.

For the guides and guards of Tiger Reserves in Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh , Anuj Khare ( Nature Walk, Pune), Rajiv Pandit (Jividha Trust , Pune) , Omkar Bapat ( Wildlife Unlimited,  Chiplun) have been conducting various trainings throughout the year and hence are in close contact with them.  The team has decided to extend a helping hand to our guides at this time of economic crisis. At the first phase, Nagzira Tiger Reserve ,Maharashtra and Panna Tiger Reserve,  Madhya Pradesh were selected for this. We also extended help to Melghat Tiger Reserve and 9 other Wildlife Sanctuaries. We have more than 50 wildlife sanctuaries and 6 tiger reserves, where we plan to continue with our project.
We request all the nature lovers to contribute generously for this cause.  Your help is extremely valuable for our guides. Please send us an email giving the details of your online contribution at info@naturewalktrust.org  this would help us update our records.  Please send your contributions to
